During the RKC weekend, I had none of those problems
and still haven’t. Other than a sore left ankle…
just like you said I would."

This is a true story. After missing 281 pounds at the Minnesota State Open powerlifting Competition in the deadlift, I asked Mike Nelson (who came as a spectator) for a quick Z adjustment. He tested my hamstrings and glute medius. Neither were firing as well as they should. Toe pulls and ankle tilts with visual adjustment, corrected both muscle groups. I went back to pull the 281lbs on my next attempt! Setting the Minnesota Record for raw Deadlift at 123lb class! Thanks so much!

My son Alex had his mile run on Thursday. Without any running training, thanks to your Z - Health work with him (one appointment), he's managed to shave two minutes off his best time! Two minutes! He ran the mile in 14:30. That was his all-time best. Tell me Z- Health doesn't work. He's also been happier, has made more friends and does his homework and is more outgoing. We also joined a new cub scout pack and he took part in the flag ceremony which he'd never done before. I'm sure we'll see other positive changes in him as time goes on.
If in doubt, check him out. He has a 100% guarantee.

Thanks for your time and showing me some of the Z-Health stuff. Very interesting, I have been thinking about it since I left on Saturday. I wish we would have had more time, so I could continue to pick your brain about it. I am seriously considering the certification coming up in March.
It is always a pleasure to meet passionate, bright people in this industry such as yourself. People like you are too few and far between.
Aaron Schwenzfeier, Strength and Conditioning Coach,
After just one session with Mike, I felt like I had a greater understanding of restrictions and limitations of the body. I'm very impressed with Mike's and Z health's logical and systematic approach in identifying restrictions and trouble spots that I had long ago written off. The results of his work was immediate and I look forward to working with him more in the future! Plus, Mike himself is a great asset to the approach as his depth of the human anatomy is impressive!

I have had several Z-Health assessments from Mike Nelson and have sent several of my clients to see him. Mike is very knowledgeable and talented, with a deep understanding of movement and an eye for precision. Drills are always backed up with muscle testing assessments to make sure you are focusing on the correct movements. If you are experiencing long term pain or just looking for performance improvement, Mike Nelson is the Z-Health practitioner to see!

Mike Nelson showed me some interesting connections between neck positioning and hamstring strength through a mysterious Z-health demo. Mike's knowledge is staggering and I look forward to talking and lifting with him in the future.
Sean Schniederjan,
I've also had Mike "fix" me on a couple of occasions, and what he did to me really worked. It made me feel better and lift stronger. The "neutral spine" instruction he gave me for deadlifting also made the deadlift fun to do again, and I've added 35 pounds to my max without trying very hard. It also improved my swings and snatches in a remarkable way. I no longer feel stress in my lower back, and my glutes and hamstrings have come back to life. There's no way I would be able to lift kettlebells the way I now do without this instruction.

"As an avid windsurfer and kiteboarder, I had suffered arm injury from excessive repetitive stress to the arms. At one point I could barely type on my keyboard. The combination of Bikram yoga, rest and a Z appointment has almost completely resolved the issue. With a brief history, examination of my walking and a few other diagnostic tests, Mike focused in on some adjustment/exercises that had dramatic effect on eliminating pain in my arms and lower back. My body feels more in balance than it has in long time thanks to my one hour session with Mike. I'm not sure just how it works and why it works so fast, but it did for me. For this I'm grateful and will recommend Z Health to my friends and family." Thanks!
Randy, Amazing Windsurfer and Kiteboarder,
"Z-Health is liberating. Every time I do the drills I realize how screwed up my body has become from misuse and dis-use. Performing the Z drills before a weight session wakes up all those little fibers and keeps me in tune with my movements. I started out skeptical of Z-Health...Mike's enthusiasm convinced me to give it a real shot, and the bottom line is that I am better off with it now. Thanks for opening my eyes, Mike!"
Matthew Finlay, Leads Engineer,
I recently had the good fortune of having a Z Health assessment by Mike Nelson. I am fairly active and run 20-25 miles a week. I had been experiencing pain in both feet for 2 months. My frustration grew when rest and switching to other forms of aerobic exercise made little difference.
Hearing of my plight Mike did a 1 hour Z Health assessment and showed me a number of exercises I could do to improve the mechanics and function of my feet. Since incorporating these drills into my daily activities for just a few minutes, I have been running pain free. While I do not pretend to understand all the science I am applying to my feet, I can tell it is working. Many thanks to Mike for getting me back on the track.
Mark Christensen, Technical Services Consultant,
I wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I was quite impressed with the Z Health program. The interesting part was that as soon as I try some of the exercises I could feel the improvement right away. I am so looking forward to begin my Z Health drills. Thanks so much for educating me in this great concept for as fitness instructor who teaches a variety of classes and a full time employee who seats long hours in front of a computer I can definitely use ways to improve my training.
Again Thanks and look forward to more sessions.

I’m a Believer!
Background info: Last December, while skiing with some friends in
How I finally went to Mike for help: I skied the first day in quite a bit of pain and by the next day I could barely get out of bed. Mike and I have been in the same ski club now for 3-4 years and have become good friends. I knew he was studying sports medicine, plus he is always rambling on these exercises called “Z-Health.” I figured I had nothing to lose and I knew my friend would be honest with me if he could help me or not. So I hobbled over to his condo to see what this “Z-Health” was all about.” Actually I was pretty desperate.
The Assessment: After seeing me hobble in, Mike exclaimed “Liz you can barely walk! He asked me a few questions and listened for about 10 minutes. Then he performed an evaluation that took about 20 minutes. It was very easy and simple as he didn’t need any special equipment. He basically asked me to walk around the room, move my legs and arms in different ways while standing and sitting to test range of motion. Then he had me lie on the floor and do some leg circles and leg lifts. Within these 30 minutes, Mike was able to pinpoint the root of my mechanical issues.
“Z Answers”: He then guided me through a series of movements especially designed to target my problem areas. One of these series was doing leg circles while lying down on the floor. He said to do the leg circles 3x in slowly in each direction. We were reprogramming the neural netways to remember what it felt like to move correctly. It was amazing as I could actually feel the muscles deep in my lower back move the way they were supposed to move—with strength and suppleness and without pinching or the pains. We also did some wrist circles and shoulders rolls (what did this have to with my back and foot pain??) Mike explained how our body is all connected and reiterated how these movements were designed to retrain my neural netways—COOL!
Z Results: I was able to ski that day at 90% performance level! I hobbled in to see Mike and after 1 hour of talking and listening and assessing and showing me the exercises, I was able to go out that morning and ski with my friends.
Note to Slackers: I did the exercises faithfully 3x a day until of course I started to feel almost 100%. So of course, I slacked off doing them …and of course the low back symptoms came back. With another ski trip coming up, only this time it was to big mountains in high altitude in
Final note: So I did my exercises faithfully, walked ½ hr a day and drank 80-90 oz of water for the next 2 weeks in prep for ski trip out west. After getting adjusted to the altitude, I skied the next 4 days—Have never skied 4 days in a row in the mountains before!! Thanks Mike for you encouragement for sharing your knowledge and expertise Z Health—it’s Z only way!
Elizabeth Curran, High School Teacher,
I wanted to say how impressed I was at how you identified the trouble spots or restrictions, i.e. my wrists feet, hips, etc. . I'm very impressed by your skill at the initial consult
Jennifer Eager, Counselor,
“I was diagnosed with a rotator cuff problem by my doctor and did the standard physical therapy. After 8 weeks of this, my shoulder was still not right and was incredibly painful when I would lower it. Mike did only one Z Health assessment on me that took 1 hour and my pain went to nothing and I had a full range of motion in my shoulder at the end of the hour. I was absolutely amazed. It had not felt that good in months! I did my recommended exercises that night, and my shoulder was still fine the next morning. Even now 2 months later my shoulder feels amazing, even though I am not doing the exercises at this time. I still can’t believe that one session, less than hour with some simple exercises done for a few weeks works that well. I am extremely grateful that it worked. I would recommend that anyone with any pain or shoulder issues to give it a try.”
Dianne, Registered Nurse,
I have been having pain in my right rotator cuff and my left shoulder. It has been bothering me off and on for three years and was bothering me at the time I met with Mike. I had tried massage, physical therapy and muscle strengthening exercises. We went through the structure analysis and the exercises. As we went through the exercises, the pain began to subside. By the time we were done, the pain was completely gone and I had complete range of motion in my arms again...painfree! This happened in a one hour session, which was astounding to me, as I thought, there is no way an hour is going to give me any progress. Mike gave me the exercises to do to continue this process. I am happy to report I am still feeling excellent. Thanks so much!
Ann, Certified Massage Therapist,
Before meeting Mike Nelson, I was practicing Olympic weightlifting for about two months. I worked up from relatively light dumbbell snatch lifts to using a bar with plates. My progress was beginning to stagnate when I met Mike. After explaining my lack of progress, Mike demonstrated several joint mobility drills that activated the hamstrings and glutes. I practiced both drills, several times a day, for 4 days then went back to the gym.
I grabbed a bar to do some warm-up sntch lifts and I remember being surprised at how light the bar felt. Then I added plates which I had been struggling to get 3 quality reps with in previous sessions. As I picked up the bar to reposition I was again surprised at how light the bar felt. So, I readied myself, then snapped the weight up like it was nothing. I was so surprised with the force of the jump that I had to adjust my balance to complete the lift. I tried the lift again and the weight just exploded from the ground to overhead in an instant. So the weight that I had reached a plateau with for the past two weeks was now extremely easy.
I decided to add 20 lbs. Same result. Actually, lifting the 20lb. heavier weight was easier than the 20 lighter lb. weight from the previous weeks. The only factor that changed was practicing the two joint mobility exercises that Mike demonstrated. Coincidence? I think not!
Mike explained that the hamstrings and glutes are primary force generators in Olympic lifting and mine had not been activating very well in the past. The Z-health joint mobility drills helped re-wire my nervous system so that those muscle groups turned on which explained my immediate weightlifting gains.
I highly recommend having a Z-Health evaluation with Mike Nelson. You will unlock great strength potential in very little time.
Andy Hendrickson, Engineer,
I highly recommend Mike Nelson and his work with the Z Health system. I was very surprised by how much my body was able to respond and improve from one half hour session. I used to have muscle knots in certain groups after doing activities such as volleyball or cross country skiing. I learned this is because my body was compensating from previous injuries. I have not had any of those muscle knots since I started doing my Z Health exercises. Mike is a very good practitioner. He really listens to people and takes the time to follow-up. I'm happy and surprised at how much I got out of one treatment.
Gail Benoit, Engineer,
I bought the Z-Health R Phase Manual and DVD set because I was having an unexplained pain in my left shoulder that was sharp and constant with no help after seeing a MD or an Acupuncturist. It particularly hurt when I would tilt my head up (noise to ceiling).
While I found the booklet and videos interesting, I was having two issues with them:
The whole point of Z-Health is that the movements need to be practiced as precisely as possible
1. In the video, the movements are practiced very quickly, much too quickly to get the exact body positions and movements down. Perhaps when I get better at the exercises, I will be able to comfortably be able to go that quickly and see benefits', but not right now.
2. It is also important to practice the Right exercises (for your particular issues) and practice those exercises in the correct order to receive the most benefit.
Again the videos and booklet were really not of much help here for my specific case.
I was practicing the exercises on my own but I was not seeing any real (noticeable) improvement in the pain I was having in my left shoulder.
So I went for a couple of Personal sessions with Mike. Mike was a very good instructor. He ensured that I executed the movements precisely. After a month of practice (of specific Z-health exercises in a specific order advised by Mike) my shoulder pain was almost completely gone!
Charles Meier, Target Corporation,
I was skeptical of Z-Health when I first heard about it but, after spending one hour with Mike I'm hooked! I wish I would have gone to him sooner. 15 years of nagging , ongoing, bothersome lower back pain has disappeared in an instant! You see, I sprained my lower back 15 years ago and it hasn't been the same since. Mike had me go through a series of drills and now my back doesn't hurt. My gluteus and hamstrings weren't firing. That meant that my lower back muscles had to take up the slack which causes pain. He also did some work on my shoulders. Now they don't go snap, crackle, pop and feel great!

I had a calcaneal avulsion of my Achilles tendon on my right ankle while skiing March of 2007. After surgery (requiring 2 screws to attach the bit of bone left hanging on my Achilles tendon), I went through 10 weeks of physical therapy to get me up and going. When physical therapy ended, I was still no where near 100% - quite far from it actually, at maybe 70%. Enter Mike, and Z Health. After an initial assessment, he indicated my gait pattern could use some work and gave me a list of several exercises to do over the next 2-3 months. Working on these, in conjunction with a few other stretches which were tendon-specific, my gait pattern started to improve.
The second assessment took place approximately 1 year after surgery. Gait pattern had vastly improved after the initial exercises, but Mike displayed how to turn muscle groups on and off - specifically the hamstring/gluteus combo. A second set of expanded exercises was recommended, which continued for 4 months.
