Genetics are an excuse.

You can’t change them (yet), so don’t use them as an excuse for not taking action.  I know this is not you, my loyal reader here, but the people “out  there” that you see every day.

They are like the cards you are handed.   You can’t put them back and get new ones, but you can control how you play them.

Motivation Monday: Your Goals Are Your Goals

Dan John once said, ” the goal is to keep the goal, the goal.”

I like that.

I would add another part that “your goal is your goal.”

Do what you want, screw everyone else.  Don’t let them talk you out of your goal.

If you want bigger shoulders, do it.

Want to bench press more?  Go for it.

Too often, we let others talk us into changing our goals.  I know I am guilty of this in the past.  I was doing someone else’s goals since I was told mine were not “good enough.”

How crazy is that? I was letting someones dictate what I wanted to do.

Think about what you want to do and go for it.

Find a way to measure your progress to know if you are on the right track.

Don’t let someone tell you that your goal is not good enough.

It’s your life and your goals, go for it.
